Taylor Sheesh took to social media to assure fans she's "okay na (already)" following an incident that happened while performing in a town fiesta in Pangasinan and consequently "traumatized" her.

The drag performer, using her real name Mac Coronel, recounted on X: "Last April 6, I was physically assaulted while I'm performing by a guy who I didn't even know. The security escorted him out and brought him to police station."

She then gave an update on the case: "And yesterday, he was arrested and I filed a case against the guy. Nalaman ko rin na marami siyang pending cases na nakapatong sa kanya." (I also found out that he has many pending cases filed against him.)

Sheesh pointed out, "I will not tolerate violence against the LGBTQIA+ community. We need SOGIE Bill or a law to protect us from any kind of homophobic/transphobic activity."

While hoping to "get the justice we deserve," she also thanked Mayor Niña Jose-Quimbao of Bayambang, where the incident took place, and the rest of the town's local government unit officials.

She then gave a message to her fans: "Sorry sa mga di ko mareplayan (to those I wasn't able to reply to), I'm okay na (already) Thank you for all the love and support."

In a previous post, Sheesh described how she felt right after the incident: "This is traumatic. Literally I'm shaking right now."

Netizens were quick to defend the popular impersonator of American pop superstar Taylor Swift, saying that the incident was truly upsetting and completely horrifying.

Still, Sheesh chose to look at the bright side: Despite of what happened last night, I just want to [say] thanks for the warm welcome Bayambang! Thank you to Mayor Nina Jose Quiambao for inviting us and to my fellow Swifties thank you thank you for coming! Happy fiesta!"

Quiambao, in turn, replied with concern for Sheesh and support for the community that the drag artist represents.

"Our administration and the LGU Bayambang strongly supports and we really love our LGBTQ community kaya (that's why) I'm very upset, and I will make sure again that justice will be served," the mayor said in a Facebook livestream.

"We condemn the actions of the certain person with the name that starts with letter 'E' and we will make sure that justice will prevail," she added.
