Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa urged the Armed Forces of the Philippines to train the auxiliary members of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit on the rules of engagements for military personnel.
Dela Rosa stressed the need to provide proper military training to CAFGU personnel, particularly in confronting amok incidents.
He then cited the most recent fatal confrontation of a CAFGU Active Auxiliary personnel against a man who allegedly ran amok and his father in Negros Occidental.
Dela Rosa, who chairs the Senate committee on peace and order, said the AFP should conduct exercises on rules and procedures for the CAFGU personnel who are usually being deployed in the far-flung communities.
