For Cliff Hodge, nothing compares to winning a championship for his beloved Meralco Bolts in the Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner's Cup.

Since playing for the franchise almost 12 years ago, Hodge has won several individual awards.

But not even once did Hodge become a part of a champion team.

Meralco attempted to win one four times but the Bolts couldn't get the job done.

A two-time member of the All-Defensive Team and the league's Second Mythical Team once, Hodge feels this is the ideal time for his team to win that elusive crown.

"I'm still craving for that championship," Hodge told DAILY TRIBUNE. "I've been searching for that championship my whole career and we've been hungry for years."

At 35, Hodge believes he doesn't have many more chances left and this is the best time to win one.

The Bolts are currently at solo third spot with a 6-2 win-los record but not far behind San Miguel and Barangay Ginebra, which share fourth to fifth spots with identical 6-3 slates.

"I feel good about our chances and I would say the team has become more matured, proof of that was our resolve to win even though there were players on the injured list," Hodge said.
