AirAsia Group has been praised by AirlineRatings.com, the world's only agency for safety and product ratings, for being among the top 20 safest low-cost airlines for 2024 out of the 385 airlines the latter monitors.

To determine which 20 low-cost airlines are the safest, the aviation regulatory agency combines incident and crash data from the previous two and five years with the findings of audits it conducted.
