The Commission on Elections has announced that the second bidding for the service provider for the 2025 local elections is slated for 8 January.
Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco confirmed this in a Viber message. He said the winning bidder could be announced within a day.
"Based on the Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 9184, the opening of bids can be completed within one day, allowing for the declaration of the bidder with the lowest calculated bid from those declared eligible," Laudiangco said.
He added: "Following this, the mandatory post-qualification evaluation will be conducted to validate and verify all documents submitted during the eligibility check, as well as compliance with all technical specifications of the FASTrAC."
