After cutting ties with guards Rashawn McCarthy and Baser Amer, Blackwater is letting go of veteran JV Casio following its dismal performance in the ongoing Governors' Cup of the Philippine Basketball Association.

Bossing team manager Johnson Martines broke the news to DAILY TRIBUNE, saying that they will be playing their last two games of the season-ending conference without a legitimate playmaker following their release of Casio.

Blackwater will be facing NorthPort on 5 January and San Miguel Beer on 12 January before wrapping up yet another forgettable campaign.

The Bossing are at the cellar with a 1-8 win-loss record.

"We'll be left without a legitimate point guard," said Martines late Wednesday night.

Casio's contract with the Bossing is set to expire on 31 December this year and Blackwater has no intention of renewing his services.

Earlier, Martines confirmed that they have already heeded to the request of long-time basketball agent Danny Espiritu and his player, Amer, to seek release that will allow them to look for interested teams.

Without McCarthy, Amer, and now, Casio, Blackwater's backcourt will only have Mike DiGregorio and Mike Ayonayon as well as rookie James Kwekuteye.
