As 4 out of 10 Filipinos only do regular checkups… PLDT Home pushes proactive care with the mWell health pass

PLDT Home, the country’s leading digital services provider, is now offering its customers a complimentary package on the all-in-one health and wellness app mWell – to help monitor overall health goals and assist in health emergencies including a free ambulance ride.
If there's one helpful lesson that the pandemic has helped reinforce on a bigger, more alarming scale, it's that people should be more cautious of their health no matter the season. Even in the post-pandemic era, people should constantly get themselves checked and track their health in all aspects.
A recent study by research institute Capstone-Intel Corp., however, found that only 40% of Filipinos go to the doctor to get checked regularly, and 33% only do so when they fall ill. This rate doesn't bode well for many people's health, especially with conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and the like common to Filipinos.
On a mission to ultimately change this reactive care mindset prevalent among Filipinos, all-in-one health and wellness app mWell seeks to promote being more proactive about one's health and overall wellness for little to no cost. mWell believes that health is the biggest investment and that being healthy is vital in being productive, living one's best life, and providing for the family's needs. To reinforce this advocacy, PLDT Home is offering its customers of Fiber plans 1699 and up a complimentary mWell health pass until February 29, 2024.

Each PLDT Home account with the said plan is entitled an mWell health pass, which includes an online doctor consultation (ConsultNow or ConsultLater); availment of an e-prescription, medical certificate, and e-lab; diet-related features like various fitness and nutrition programs and a library of healthy recipes; and the mWell Score, the app's overall health and wellness tracker.
