Acuzar praises Bacoor City’s township project

Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development on Sunday cited a Bacoor City housing project for its ideal location right in the city center.
Acuzar commended Bacoor City Mayor Strike Revilla and the entire local government for allotting a lot in Barangay Zapote 1 for the project under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino, or 4PH, Program.
"The location is really great, just across the barangay hall, near the school, hospital, market, and best of all, just outside a commercial area," said Acuzar, who assured the city of full DHSUD support.
"This is the concept of in-city, township development under the national housing program: That no one should be displaced and housed afar," the housing chief continued in Filipino.
Dubbed "Strike Towers," the housing project aims to construct nine 15-story buildings comprising 1,890 condominium-type units complete with open spaces, parks, and other amenities.

So far, about 20 housing projects under the flagship Pambansang Pabahay are in various stages of development and construction throughout the country.
In Bacolod City, at least 288 condominium-type housing units will be turned over next month.
