Before we start celebrating and patting ourselves on the back, what, in fact, is the reality on the ground?

Hamas had shifted its terror campaign to the geopolitical sphere to distort the narrative of 7 October and turn the table on Israel, which is being demonized as the oppressor of Palestine.
The twisted accounts are then used to question the actual events that all recounted the continuing atrocities of the terror group and, astoundingly, people who are enjoying the democracy that the terror groups seek to demolish are swallowing the propaganda hook, line, and sinker.
The efforts are all meant to frustrate Israel's campaign to make the participants of the biggest terror assault in contemporary times accountable in a trial that is expected to be held after Hamas is crippled, if not obliterated.
A recent international campaign that is drawing in gullible members of mankind is a manifesto questioning the veracity of claims that rape transpired in the terrorist assault. The director of a sexual assault center at a Canadian university even signed the atrocious open letter denying women were raped during Hamas' October 7 attack on Israel.
Samantha Pearson, director of the University of Alberta's Sexual Assault Center, was among those who signed in support of the letter written by two local politicians.
In an undisclosed venue where Filipino journalists were invited, Israel showed proof and testimonies, some coming from captured terrorists about women being brutalized, particularly those who were participants of the Nova music festival.
Several young women were raped, and in one instance, as a captured terrorist recounted, a victim's breast was cut off and thrown around like a toy among the terrorists before she was shot dead.
Deceptions continue, such as, "According to a police source, the investigation also indicates that an Israel Defense Forces combat helicopter that arrived at the scene (the music festival) and fired at terrorists there apparently also hit some festival participants. According to police, 364 people were murdered at the festival."
Hamas is also withholding all humanitarian rights from the 329 hostages, including two Filipinos. It does not allow access from humanitarian groups such as the Red Cross to assess their state and provide medical treatment. It is attempting to prevent Gaza's residents from moving southwards so it can continue using them as human shields.
Israel maintains a humanitarian corridor for the safe passage of Gaza residents to the south of the Gaza Strip, opens safe passages for the evacuation of the hospitals in Gaza, and enables the transfer of humanitarian aid to the south of the Gaza Strip.
Hamas and its financiers have proven to be adept at information warfare.
The attack was planned a year in advance while giving the impression it was focused on economic stability.
Before the attack, the Hamas administration in the Gaza Strip sought additional employment permits for Gazans to work within Israel, where salaries are higher.
It was meant, however, as a smokescreen for its grand plan to invade Israel.
According to technology experts who looked into captured Hamas documents and equipment, social media became the center of manipulated narrations.
Included in the 7 October operations was flooding social media with live streams of the assault while propagating the retelling of what was then transpiring.
Much of what circulated at that time was pure fake news: Edited videos of mislabeled events and complete terrorist fabrications.
Experts said Hamas made extensive use of the platform Telegram, which has no content moderation, end-to-end encryption, and practically no limit on participants of message groups.
From there, messages get reposted to X, the former Twitter and Facebook putting these on the global mainstream.
TikTok, WhatsApp, YouTube, Snapchat and Instagram were also used to spread Hamas' propaganda.
Even after the armed skirmishes are over, Israel and the democratic world face a bigger battle against what is turning out as the spreading of terror malice.
