Prepare your taste buds for a culinary experience like no other. Metro Manila's finest dining establishments are joining forces for a worthy cause. Globe, in partnership with Facebook online community Fine Dining Club Philippines, proudly introduces the "Gourmet Giving Series: A Fine Dining Thanksgiving Experience for the Hapag Movement."

This gastronomic initiative is not only a showcase of the culinary expertise from the hottest restaurants in the metro, but it also extends help to Filipino families who are experiencing involuntary hunger. As part of this program, each restaurant partner pledges a portion of their sales to support supplementary feeding and livelihood training initiatives for these families, a charitable way of giving back in these trying times.

With the holiday season fast approaching, the Gourmet Giving Series upholds the true spirit of Thanksgiving. By combining the essence of gourmet with the compassion of the holiday season, the program encourages customers to partake in an epicurean feast for a noble cause.

According to RG Orense, Globe's Digital and Social Strategy head, "We believe that engaging with Facebook's Fine Dining Club Philippines is leveraging the platform's passion for food to also make a purposeful difference." Members of Fine Dining Club Philippines will also have access to the exclusive tasting menus in Metro Manila's premier restaurants.

Participating restaurants are Alegria Manila, The Black Pig, Chef Jessie Rockwell Club, Ember, Flame by Discovery Primea, Gallery by Chele, Helm, La Cabrera, The Test Kitchen, Tiago's Restaurant, Txoko Asador and Your Local. These restaurants will be offering distinctive menus and exclusive holiday previews.

Yoly Crisanto, chief sustainability and communications officer at Globe, shared her excitement and gratitude for their partners in this endeavor. "Globe is not only a service provider. We are catalysts for change, forging pathways that seamlessly link our customers to opportunities where they can make a genuine difference and leave a lasting impact."

Through their Gourmet Giving Series, Globe hopes to showcase the best of Filipino cuisine while also making a positive impact in the community. So why not indulge in a delicious meal and help make a difference in the lives of those in need at the same time? It's a win-win situation for all involved.

By working with The Hapag Movement, Globe is bringing together the fine dining community, social media and philanthropy to create a positive impact in the lives of those in need.

Globe mobile and broadband users who order Hapag Movement sampling menus from 20 to 30 November will receive special surprises.

Through the Gourmet Series, we hope to unlock meaningful, memorable and sought-after dining experiences for our customers with this food offering. By partnering with some of Metro Manila's premier restaurants, Globe delights customers to dine in their favorite establishments while supporting a movement for social good," said Darius Delgado, head of Globe's Consumer Mobile Business.

Sensory delights at La Cabrera

Prepare your taste buds for a sensory delight with La Cabrera's specially crafted menu, available exclusively for this one-day event. Begin your gastronomic adventure with two mouthwatering appetizers: grilled provolone cheese and Creole chorizo sausage. Then, savor a delightful Caesar salad with grilled chicken.

The feast continues with a tantalizing combination of chicken and basil pesto served with penne pasta. And for the pièce de résistance, La Cabrera presents an extraordinary main course featuring the cuadril and entrana cuts — succulent coulotte and skirt parts that are not available on the regular menu. This exclusive treat is reserved only for patrons of the Gourmet Giving Series.

Accompanying the steaks, La Cabrera offers a remarkable array of unlimited warm and cold side dishes. From honeyed garlic in olive oil to a variety of olive tapenade, peas and corn, and marbled potatoes, each side dish is a culinary treasure in itself.

Globe expands its support for the Hapag Movement by using exquisite dining to help 500,000 Filipinos at risk of starvation through the Gourmet Giving Series. The event builds on Globe's Longest Hapag series, which connected World Hunger Day to World Food Day and held several food-driven fundraisers for the Hapag Movement. Since August last year, the Hapag Movement has raised P21.5 million to feed and train nearly 70,000 Filipinos.
