Courier giant FedEx Express has launched its package self-collection lockers located in all Light Rail Transit Line 1 stations in Metro Manila.
The FedEx lockers in each of 19 LRT-1 stations allow customers to enjoy greater flexibility and convenience in picking up their parcel at no extra charge, the company said in a statement.
Each self-collection point has 66 lockers that are available for package collection.
Customers can have shipments delivered to any of the train stations closest to their office, Maribeth Espinosa, managing director of FedEx Express Philippines, said.
"We are constantly enhancing our service to deliver outstanding experiences for our customers by making it easier and more convenient for them. The introduction of our self-collection service at the LRT stations will bring significant benefits to customers, allowing them to decide how they want to receive their packages. Offering greater flexibility and choice is particularly important amid the fast-growing e-commerce market,"€ Espinosa added.
The FedEx self-collection service not only provides a hassle-free delivery solution for customers but also strengthens the e-commerce logistics ecosystem in the Philippines.
The service is inspired by the FedEx Authorized Ship Center initiative driven by the growing e-commerce in the country.
"The expanded FASC network helps to ensure the efficient delivery of goods to people and businesses while contributing to the country's global e-commerce network," according to Espinosa.
