Saudi visit generates 200K jobs

Over 200,000 jobs will soon be available for Filipinos as a direct outcome of several deals President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sealed with Saudi Arabia.

Thus said Speaker Martin Romuldez, who accompanied Mr. Marcos during his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit, wherein they sealed numerous business deals in key sectors, such as healthcare, hotel and restaurant, and maintenance and operations, among others that would generate approximately 220,000 jobs over the next few years.

Mr. Marcos believes these agreements are expected to generate more than $4.26 billion.

Securing this pact, Romualdez said, serves as a concrete manifestation of the Marcos administration's commitment to promoting the welfare and socioeconomic status of the Filipino workforce by enhancing the long-standing friendship and diplomatic ties between the two nations.
