US President Joe Biden on Thursday said that both Hamas militants attacking Israel and Russian leader Vladimir Putin in his invasion of Ukraine are seeking to "annihilate"  neighboring democracies.

"Hamas and Putin represent different threats, but they share this in common: They both want to completely annihilate a neighboring democracy," Biden said in a rare televised address from the Oval Office.
