Leading home improvement and construction supply retailer, Wilcon Depot, recently unveiled Aeroponic Tower that offers an ideal solution for urban agriculture to expand access to local produce in cities and even homes.
The Aeroponic Tower is a method of growing food without soil.
During its participation in the National Convention and Housing Expo 2023 hosted by the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders' Associations last 26-28 September, Wilcon Depot presented its most recent sustainable and innovative product, the Aeroponic Tower, in a booth during the three-day expo, which coincides with CREBA's vision for sustainable solutions.
Wilcon's Aeroponic Tower is also developed with advanced technology, making the whole planting process seamless and effortless.
The expo was graced by Senator Robin Padilla, who delivered valuable perspectives on the industry's future and its critical role in the nation's economic growth.
The National Convention & Housing Expo 2023 centers on unlocking investment, building the future and offering sustainable solutions which increased CREBA advocacy initiatives over the years to become the government's best ally in pursuing a rational national housing program. The housing expo was attended by real estate developers, banks, government financial institutions, contractors, construction supply manufacturers and representatives from online payment gateways, building technologies, furniture and home improvement suppliers.
Meanwhile, as the company continues to push boundaries, Wilcon Depot has been advocating sustainability, fostering growth, innovation and collaboration for years to remain at the forefront in the home solutions and construction industry.

Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual also attended the convention and said that the real estate and property sector's contribution to the Philippine economy is estimated at 8.2 percent for second quarter of this year, indicating the employment of almost five million Filipinos (4.88 million) or almost 10 percent of the country's total employment.
Also, during his speech, Pascual reported that since the start of tracking for mass housing included in the annual Investment Priorities Plan from 2003 to 2022, the Board of Investments has already registered an impressive 806,577 units of economic and low-cost housing.
The data is estimated to show that 43 percent of all the housing units in this segment are issued with a License to Sell.
Furthermore, this showed the substantial contribution of BOI in the production of affordable housing in the country.
