Rockitwell Studios and MusicArtes Inc., both committed to nurturing Filipino music and talent, are launching a brand
-new Filipino musical called Silver Lining this October 2023 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza.
An original work with modern rock and pop music, Silver Lining is a journey of rediscovery covering two timelines, as it relives the challenging times of the '70s and delves as well into the struggles and conflicts of today's youth. The music is about this generation's experiences: Falling in love, forging friendships, seeing the silver lining amid difficulties — a story of resolution, hope and redemption.
Maribel Legarda of PETA's hit musical Rak of Aegis directs Silver Lining, with a script by Palanca awardee Joshua Lim So, lyrics and music by Jack Teotico with additional music, lyrics and musical direction by Vince Lim, and choreography by PJ Rebullida.
Ricky Davao leads a cast of seasoned and emerging artists like Noel Comia Jr. and Krystal Brimner of Star Magic.
Silver Lining opens 20 October with a limited run on 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29 October. Tickets are now available at www.ticket2me.net.
