October is recognized as Filipino American History Month (FAHM) in the United States.

US President Joe Biden took to social media to pen a message to Filipino-Americans as they celebrate the occasion.

"Jill and I are thrilled to celebrate Filipino American History Month, honoring the rich heritage and traditions of millions of Filipino Americans," Biden posted on X.

"To our Filipino American community: Thank you for all you do to ensure our nation continues to be the land of opportunity," he added.
