Quality education and knowledge-sharing are the foremost themes of the recent partnership renewal between Isuzu Philippines Corporation and the Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial School of Arts & Trade inked last 8 August.
They signed the memorandum of agreement led by IPC president Tetsuya Fujita and IPC executive vice president Shojiro Sakoda.
The IPC top honchos also turned over a new four-post lifter with wheel aligner, and one unit of Isuzu D-MAX pick-up, to Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Calabarzon regional director Baron Jose Lagran and JZGMSAT Vocational School Administrator Benito Reyes.
"It's been six years since we started this partnership, and the continuous collaboration between IPC and JZGMSAT says a lot about the importance and sustainability of this program. More than the equipment we provided, it's the culture of knowledge sharing that's more important, for us to be able to share with them our expertise on Diesel Engine Technology, so the trainees can have more advantage when they graduate," said Fujita.
A CSR activity which started in 2017, the company previously donated desktop computers, mock-up diesel engines and two units of automotive lifters to the school which to this date are being utilized by their service mechanic trainees during their practical classes.
Much like its Auto Mechanic school in Tacloban, IPC also includes in the MOA specialized training program covering topics like Diesel Engine Technology, Common Rail Fuel System and Engine Management System as part of the company's knowledge-sharing initiatives.
