Angelo Kyle "Pheww" Arcangel became the first Filipino two-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist in Mobile Legends after Sibol's win over Malaysia in the finals of the MLBB men's category at the 32nd SEA Games this Sunday in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Pheww, together with his Bren Esports teammates KyleTzy, Flap, Super Marco, Owgwen, coach Duckey, and ONIC PH's Ryota, handed Malaysia a 3-0 beatdown to win MLBB gold for the third straight time.
"I am very happy to win a gold medal again because I am the only two-time SEA Games gold medalist in Mobile Legends. After this I think our confidence will be better in the next [MPL] season," said Pheww in the post-match press conference.
The SEA Games gold was an added feather to Francis "Duckey" Glindro's cap too as the M2 world champion coach had always dreamed of winning the SEA Games. Now that he has accomplished his goal, the articulate Filipino coach was almost speechless.
"It is very hard to explain but I am really happy. I am very proud of you guys (players) you have done very well. I could not be more proud of you. I am really happy that finally, it happened," Duckey told.
