Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd was blamed by her aunts Joely and Tricia Leigh Fisher for their non-attendance at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony of the late actress.
The aunts took to social media on Wednesday their displeasure regarding the issue.
"In response to all of you asking whether or not we will be part of the celebration… Strangely we won't be in attendance to celebrate our sister, whom we adored," the two said in a joint post.
"For some bizarre, misguided reason, our niece has chosen not to include us in this epic moment in our sister's career. This is something Carrie would have definitely wanted her siblings to be present for. The fact that her only brother and two sisters were intentionally and deliberately excluded is deeply shocking," they continued, adding that their brother Todd Fisher wasn't invited too.
Joely and Tricia Leigh clarified that the issue isn't about a photo opportunity on Hollywood Boulevard but it is about celebrating their sister Carrie's legacy in the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, they thanked the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for honoring their late sister with a star on the iconic Walk of Fame alongside their parents.
