Celebs grace fitness hub’s glittery masquerade ball
Basketball star LA Tenorio, showbiz celebs Zanjoe Marudo, Sunshine Cruz with daughters Sam and Cheska, and beauty queen discoverer Jonas Gaffud — all brand endorsers of Surge Fitness + Lifestyle — joined the health hub's clients and instructors in a glittering masquerade ball recently at House Manila in Newport World Resorts.
Surge Fitness + Lifestyle's high-end exercise equipment, group class studios, and heartrate-monitored facilities aim to provide quality fitness and training programs
— which its members and instructors demonstrated via a singing/dancing competition.
Cruz belied her age, looking glam in diamond jewelry and sprightly in a nude-toned crop top and pants. At 45 she's still busy with acting projects, including playing a lawyer in a twisted sexy Vivamax movie that premiered on 23 December.
She also spoke of her holiday plans, particularly a trip to Bohol on 30 December with family — with ex-husband Cesar Montano joining them for the first time since their split in 2013. With Montano is his partner Kath Angeles and son Diego (by Teresa Loyzaga).
Marudo, meanwhile, was dapper in a teal suit with black shirt. He said he keeps fit and able to play physically taxing roles with a regular 45-minute exercise.
Surge Lifestyle + Fitness has six branches with three more on the way. Its flagship location is at Glorietta 3, open daily from 6 a.m. till 11 p.m.
