‘Techno-horror’ movie ‘Deleter’ wins 7 awards at 2022 MMFF

Deleter, described as a "techno-horror" movie, romped off with seven major awards, including Best Picture, Best Actress (Nadine Lustre), Best Director (Mikhail Red), at the Gabi ng Parangal of the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), which runs until 7 January in cinemas.

In the movie, Lustre plays Lyra, who works at an online content moderation office where employees, known as deleters, are tasked to filter graphic uploads before they reach social media platforms.

Gatpuno J Villegas Cultural Award – Family Matters

Fernando Poe Jr. Memorial Award – Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told

Best Screenplay – Eric Ramos, Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told

Best Supporting Actress – Dimples Romana, My Father, Myself

Best Supporting Actor – Mon Confiado, Nanahimik ang Gabi

Best Director – Mikhail Red, Deleter

Best Actor – Ian Veneracion, Nanahimik ang Gabi
