President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday advised his Cabinet members to take full advantage of the holidays to take a rest and prepare again to do battle in public service.
As he presided over his administration's 13th Cabinet meeting in Malacañang, Marcos expressed his fulfillment upon hearing accomplishments of different departments in the past six months.
"I think we have managed that and I'm very happy that we were able to do it," Marcos said in a toast during a luncheon he hosted for Cabinet members.
"I am told I am to make a toast. I will toast you all for the good work that you have done, the good (start) that you have done, as I said earlier I think you have done some significant things," he added.
The President emphasized, however, that many things still need to be done.
"So with that, I suppose all that is left is to toast you and toast to all a Merry, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year," he said.
In a press briefing, newly-appointed Malacañang Press Briefer Daphne Oseña-Paez said key accomplishments of all agencies from July to December and their programs for 2023 were presented during the meeting.
"In just a span of six months, we are able to see the accomplishments of the administration and there will be several programs that will be implemented to revitalize the economy and improve the Filipinos' lives," Oseña-Paez said.
