As part of the company's #AngkaskoAySumapit campaign, Angkas Blue Santas gave away free rides last 12.12 as an early Christmas gift from riders. For Angkas, there is no better way to end the year than to give back to their supportive passengers in Metro Manila and Metro Cebu.
George Royeca, CEO of Angkas, said that the free rides gifted to passengers are their way of showing gratitude for helping bikers make a living with each booked trip. "The support of the passengers on our platform has been instrumental in paving the way for our bikers to get college degrees, support their children's education, and provide a better life for their families. The core of Angkas has always been to serve the community in any capacity we can, and this initiative is just another testament to that commitment," Royeca added.
Many passengers were happy with the early Christmas gift as Angkas gave them a hassle-free way of commuting without spending a dime. What they saved during those free trips can be added to their spending this holiday season or savings for the upcoming year.
Angkas Aguinaldo
The motorcycle-hailing app also spreads Christmas love and spirit through its newest "gifting" feature: Angkas Aguinaldo. This feature allows the passengers to give back and support the partner riders of Angkas.
"We at Angkas are fortunate to have a platform to give back to the community by providing inclusive mobility and livelihood opportunities to our kababayans. This culture of helping and giving joy is what we aim to instill in people through Angkas Aguinaldo. The riders will receive 100% of the tips gifted to them," Royeca said.
If you wish to give back this holiday season, you can give gifts to riders by tapping "add a tip" on the booking screen and selecting an amount ranging from ₱10.00 – ₱100.00. Cash tips will be added to the total fare, whereas cashless tips will be charged to the enrolled credit/debit card upon drop off.
Angkas Aguinaldo is now available on Android this holiday season.
Now spread the good cheer and slay the holiday with #AngkaskoAySumapit!
