Anti-illegal drug operatives of the Southern Police District arrested five persons at dawn Saturday after a buy-bust operation in Barangay Aldana, Las Piñas City.
One of the five nabbed was tagged a high-value target for allegedly being a "drug maintainer," while the four others were either street-level pushers or users, according to the SPD Drug Enforcement Unit.
SPD chief P/Brig. Gen. Kirby John Brion Kraft said two of those arrested were aged 18. He identified the others as Lhennard Badoy Rusiana, 22; Prince Ivan Bacud Gabrinao, 22; and Carl Spencer Asaytono Dequinon, 23, a construction worker.
Seized during the operation were five sachets containing 28 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P190,400 and 550 grams of marijuana leaves and fruitings worth P66,000.
A caliber 38 revolver was taken from the main suspect, according to the police. The P1,000 marked money was also retrieved as evidence.
Those arrested were detained at the SPD DDEU for documentation and booking for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165.
"The dismantling of a drug den is considered a high-impact operation as they are breeding grounds of violence and criminality and disrupt peace and order in the community," Kraft said.
"Thus, we are commending our anti-drug operatives for their hard work and dedication in the campaign against illegal drugs," he added.
