Jennylyn "Jianlin" de los Santos was her perky, persuasive self while talking to the media recently via Zoom. The Baguio-based entrepreneur was beaming with excitement as she rattled off details of her company Casa Infini's latest project, Saleng Spa & Wellness Towers.
Saleng — Ilokano for pine tree — is a residential condominium conceived with health as a primary feature. It is virtually a fitness center that happens to have housing units.
Soon to rise in a 1,019-sq. m. property on Longboan Alley in Gibraltar, Baguio City, Saleng will have only 50 residential units with either one or three bedrooms, each with its own balcony.
Unit owners will be entitled to exclusive membership of Saleng's spa and wellness center which includes a fully equipped gym, sauna and steam baths, family jacuzzi, and roof deck heated infinity pool.
Saleng — said to be a fusion of European and Cordilleran design — will likewise be like a hotel with two function rooms, an international cuisine restaurant, an "earth" music bar, premium branded retail stores, other service providers, and a mini theater — the last one a personal requirement of Jianlyn, whose inclination to movies led her to produce the short film Dayas, about the lives of two Igorot miners.
The project is in its pre-selling phase, with some units already sold to Baguio residents.
