BAGUIO CITY — Authorities from the Pasil Municipal Police Station reported that a miner who was trapped in a rubble inside the "minahang bayan" of Sitio Magadgad, Barangay Galdang, Pasil in Kalinga.
The miner was identified as Milnar Wa-il Bag-ayan, a resident of Barangay Galdang. His remains were recovered at 6 a.m. of 4 December.
Reports from the Pasil Municipal Police Station disclosed that it has responded to a call from the barangay local government unit of Galdang informing them of a trapped miner due to eroded boulders in a mine site at the Minahan ng Bayan at Sitio Magadgad.
Search and Rescue team from the Pasil Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Council proceeded to the area but was met by civilian rescue volunteers who were able to recover the victim's body.
