Bong Go sends assistance to fire victims in Marikina City

Sen. Bong Go continues to bring assistance to distressed Filipinos as he sent his team to check the situation and provide aid to fire victims in Marikina City on 24 November.
In his video message, Go committed to give his best efforts to help the victims recover from the damages caused by the fire. Go earlier primarily authored and co-sponsored Republic Act No. 11589, otherwise known as the Bureau of Fire Protection Modernization Act of 2021.
Under the law, the BFP is undergoing a ten-year modernization program to improve the agency's capabilities by recruiting more firefighters, acquiring new fire equipment, and developing specialized training, among others.
Go's team held the relief activity at Marikina Sports Center where they provided grocery packs, masks, vitamins, umbrellas, bags, snacks, and balls for basketball to the 19 fire-hit households from Barangays Nagka and Malanday.
Furthermore, representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development provided separate financial assistance to each affected family.
