After a Commission on Appointments committee deferred the deliberations on the ad interim appointment of Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Erwin Tulfo, the DSWD chief stressed that he will still continue his public service should he be bypassed entirely by the CA.

At the "Kapihan sa Manila Bay" forum, the DSWD chief said that he will refrain from answering questions regarding the CA confirmation at the House of Representatives, saying that they should avoid the topic so that it could not influence the CA panels.

He however, revealed that all information discussed regarding his personal life on having sired a number of children from different women, his US citizenship and his libel convictions were previously declared.

Tulfo stressed that even if he will be rejected, he will continue to serve as DSWD secretary until March as this is included in the appointment papers approved by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
