A Chinese national was rescued and four of his alleged abductors were arrested on Monday evening by the police along Bradco Avenue corner Macapagal Boulevard in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.
Nabbed were Qiang Wang, 34, also a Chinese national like the rescued victim, 34; Norvin Yusuff, 42, personal assistant and driver of Wang, Joseph Barbas, 45; and Niño Felisan, 30.
A sister of the alleged kidnap victim reported to the police the abduction of her brother and his being kept inside a gray commuter van near the ASEANA Power Station.
Members of the Tambo police substation 2 proceeded to the area and arrested the suspects after spotting the van with license plate IAD 774.
Meanwhile, nine suspected drug pushers were arrested after they yielded P150,000 worth of shabu in Taguig City Monday.
The police identified the suspects as Ferdinand Delos Santos, 38 years old, a painter; Mary Jane Bernardo, 37 years old; Marivic Solano, 33, and Ranel Pinos, 47.
They allegedly yielded eight sachets containing 4.5 grams of suspected shabu.
One Randy Victoriano, 48, was also arrested in Taguig for possession of 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000.
