Local tourism is at the forefront of the Philippine Tour Operators Association Inc.'s 33rd Philippine Travel Mart.
With the theme "Safe Travels," the PTM will feature over 200 exhibitions from local and international participants showcasing exclusive domestic and international travel packages.
The expo is designed with different zones: Yellow for MICE and Entertainment; Blue for Beach, Cruise, and Marine Sports; Green for Cultural and Agro/Farm/Eco-Tourism; and Pink for Health, Wellness, and Culinary.
"Tourism has long had enormous potential to fuel the engine of our economic success. Over the last two years, we have witnessed the industry ravaged. However, there is hope in the industry," Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco said.
Travelers may find ASEAN tour packages that will help them explore Bali, Siem Reap, and Ho Chi Minh. More packages in other Asian destinations like Japan, Malaysia, and South Korea are also available at the PTM.
The PHILTOA is an organization of tour operators and allied members actively involved in the advocacy of responsible tourism. It was founded in 1986 with the aim to become the leading association that forges national and global affiliations and alliances with other tourism-related stakeholders for the common good of Philippine tourism.
"There are so many reasons to explore the Philippines and our ASEAN neighbors. We hope visitors will find amazing deals at the PTM, as well as gain more knowledge about our own country. We have interactive booths highlighting Philippine regions and the biggest among them will be the Mindanao exhibition," PHILTOA president Abling-Yu said in a statement.
The 33rd PTM will run from 30 September to 2 October at the SMX Convention Center Manila (Halls 1–4), Seashell Lane, SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. It is co-presented by the Department of Tourism, Tourism Promotions Board with support from Bank of the Philippine Islands, AirAsia, Turkish Airlines, and Cebu Pacific Air.
