The Moro National Liberation Front has expressed its support on the Marcos administration's move to shift the form of government from unitary to a federal system which coincided with the group's political objective of self-rule.

According to MNLF spokesperson Atty. Emmanuel Fontanilla said the support was made during a central committee meeting on the political move of the secessionist group on the petition for the independence of the Bangsamoro Republic pending before the United Nation committee on decolonization.
