ICTSI Foundation and Manila Water Foundation marked Global Handwashing Day on 15 October by donating WASHup! Handwashing Stations to 11 Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) centers in Barangay 20 and Barangay 275 of Tondo, Manila.

The donation includes soap bars and copies of the WASH Storybook “May Tubig na sina Tinay!” Extra bars of soaps were also handed over to parents and ECCD workers.

The occasion with the theme “Be a Handwashing Hero!” also saw a storytelling session for preschoolers. Volunteers read aloud the storybook “May Tubig na sina Tinay!” which tells how community heroes helped a little girl access clean and potable water.
