MUPH Org urges Filipinos to support Bea Millan-Windorski regardless of Miss Universe 2026 results

As excitement builds for the 75th Miss Universe competition in Puerto Rico, Miss Universe Philippines Organization Executive Vice President Voltaire Tayag has delivered an important reminder to Filipino pageant fans: a beauty queen's worth should never be measured solely by the crown she brings home.
With Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Bea Millan-Windorski preparing to represent the country on the international stage, Tayag acknowledged the tremendous expectations surrounding her participation.
However, he emphasized that the overwhelming support of Filipino fans should remain strong regardless of her final placement in the prestigious competition.
“This year, the expectations are skyrocketing. The expectations are enormous for great reason, and you can see that,” Tayag said.
While recognizing the country's passion for pageantry, the MUPH executive appealed to supporters, fans, and members of the media to appreciate the dedication and sacrifices of Filipina representatives beyond their competition results.
“But ngayon pa lang, I want to ask the Filipino fans, supporters, the media: the love and support that you have for the Filipina queens should never be conditional on the result of what they get on the crown on the international stage,” he stressed.
Tayag pointed out that competing internationally requires extraordinary commitment, preparation, and determination, qualities that deserve recognition whether or not a contestant wins the title.
He expressed confidence that Millan-Windorski would give everything she has when she steps onto the Miss Universe stage.
“You should have and continue that love and support, especially after. Because I know that in Puerto Rico, and whenever they go on the international stage, they give it their all. She's gonna give it her all. And the least we can do is to give her all that love back when she returns,” he added.
His appeal comes amid growing anticipation surrounding Millan-Windorski, whose pageant experience and international background have raised hopes for another strong Philippine performance at Miss Universe.
The La Union beauty queen, who previously earned the Miss Earth Water 2024 title, carries the responsibility of representing a country known for its passionate pageant following and impressive history in international beauty competitions.
Beyond encouraging Filipinos to rally behind Millan-Windorski, Tayag hopes to inspire a broader change in how the public treats national representatives after their respective international journeys.
“So that's the first thing that I hope that we continue to do, not just for Bea, but for all the queens that go abroad,” he said.
His message underscores an important reality in the competitive world of pageantry: while winning a crown remains the ultimate goal, the courage to represent one's country and the effort invested in that responsibility are achievements worthy of celebration.
As Millan-Windorski prepares for her Miss Universe journey, Tayag's words serve as a timely reminder that genuine national pride should extend beyond coronation night.
For the MUPH executive, the greatest expression of support is not simply celebrating a queen when she wins, but standing proudly beside her regardless of the outcome.
