Metrobank has been named Best Asset Manager and Best Client Services in the Philippines at the Citywire ASEAN Awards 2025/26, recognizing its investment management capabilities and support for clients’ wealth management needs.

The awards recognize financial institutions in Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand for innovation, business growth and commitment to client service. The evaluation considered growth in assets under management and administration, product offerings and distribution channels, service and technology improvements, and differentiation in the market.

Ric Pedrosa, head of Metrobank’s Trust Banking Group, said the recognition reinforces the bank’s responsibility to manage clients’ investments carefully and provide attentive service.

“Clients entrust us with money they have worked hard to build, and with goals that matter to them and their families. Our responsibility is to bring sound investment management and attentive service to every stage of that relationship,” Pedrosa said.

He added that the awards encourage the bank to improve its services and expand access to investment solutions that help clients make informed decisions as their needs and market conditions change.

Metrobank’s Trust Banking Group combines investment research, portfolio management and client support to help clients pursue financial goals, from building wealth to preparing for future needs.

The bank has also received recognition from other financial industry organizations. At The Asset Benchmark Research Awards 2026, it ranked first among Philippine banks and securities firms in the Local Currency Bonds and G3 Bonds categories.

The CFA Society Philippines named Metrobank’s Metro$ Short Term Bond Fund the Best Managed Fund, while Euromoney recognized the bank as the Best Bank in the Philippines for 2026. The Asian Banker also named Metrobank the country’s Strongest Bank for the fifth consecutive year in 2025.

Metrobank is the country’s second-largest universal bank. Its consolidated assets stood at P3.88 trillion at the end of 2025, according to the bank’s press release.
