Social media is abuzz with rumors that Andres Muhlach and Kai Montinola are now a couple.
It started with a blind item claiming to confirm the relationship between two young stars from different talent agencies. Montinola is a Star Magic talent, while Muhlach is a Viva talent.
Rumor has it that the couple is in a quandary as one network wants them to do a teleserye together, which was nixed by the actor’s camp. Similarly, a movie is being readied for them, but the actress’ camp turned it down.
The actor was said to have decided to move to his girlfriend’s management, but his parents decided against it because of their gratitude to the talent management he is under now.
Muhlach and Montinola have not reacted to this blind item, making netizens speculate.
“As much as I want mag-delulu, ang out of character nu’ng blind item. Ang professional ni girl, hindi ko feel na itatali niya ang sarili niya sa isang loveteam (As much as I want to be delusional, the blind item is out of character. The girl is professional. I don’t feel she would allow herself to be tied to a love team),” one netizen commented.
“Blind item ng mga toxic alts sa X? Pass (It’s a blind item from toxic alts on X),” one fan opined.
Has the budding romance between Montinola and Muhlach really blossomed into a full-grown relationship?
Netizens react to Ivana Alawi’s FAMAS win
When actress and content creator Ivana Alawi won Best Public Service Show and tied with respected broadcast journalist Kara David for Best Public Service Host, not a few netizens raised their collective eyebrows.
For many of them, Alawi was not deserving of the recognition, much less to be in the same league as David, whose vast experience in public service is incomparable.
“In my opinion, there is a significant difference between a professional journalist who has dedicated years to serving the public through truthful and responsible reporting, and a vlogger whose public image has been built around promoting online gambling, filming charitable acts for content, and relying on provocative social media posts to attract followers. While anyone can become popular, prestigious awards should recognize integrity, professionalism and meaningful contributions to society — not just fame or online influence,” one commenter wrote.
“Kara deserves the award, and yes, Ivana did charity works, too, which should be appreciated as well. But Kara is way more than charity works, public service, journalism, etc. Kara is incomparable, and so on and so forth… she should have received the award genuinely for herself alone,” one fan opined.
“Still can’t believe na nanalo tayo ng 2 FAMAS Awards (I still can’t believe we won two FAMAS Awards),” Alawi wrote on her social media account.
She then expressed gratitude for God’s perfect timing, saying, “Thank You, Lord, for always reminding me that Your plans are always greater than mine. Lagi mo akong sinusurpresa sa tamang panahon (You always surprise me at the right time),” Alawi wrote on her social media account.
