VinFast and GSM have announced changes in their senior leadership as both companies continue their international expansion.

Pham Nhat Quan Anh has been appointed chief executive officer of VinFast Global, succeeding Pham Nhat Vuong. He will also serve as chairman and CEO of VinFast Vietnam while keeping his post as chairman of VinFast Global.

Quan Anh was appointed chairman of VinFast Global in May 2026. His expanded role gives him responsibility for the electric vehicle maker’s global operations.

Born in 1993, Quan Anh holds a bachelor’s degree from Singapore Management University. He has held several management positions across VinFast and other companies under Vingroup. He will also continue as CEO of VinMetal Trading and Production JSC.

GSM also announced changes to its leadership team.

Nguyen Quoc Tuan, previously CEO of GSM Global, has been appointed chairman of GSM Global. He succeeds Pham Thu Huong.

Pham Nhat Minh Hoang will take over as CEO of GSM Global and will also serve as CEO of GSM Vietnam.

Born in 2000, Minh Hoang has held management roles at VinFast, Green Future, VinSmart Future and GSM. He also has investments in several companies under the wider Vingroup ecosystem, which cover industrial, technology, energy and infrastructure businesses.

The appointments come as VinFast and GSM hand more senior responsibilities to a younger group of executives.

VinFast currently operates in 16 countries, including the Philippines, Vietnam, India and Indonesia. Its electric cars and motorcycles are produced at four facilities across Vietnam, Indonesia and India.

GSM operates the Green SM mobility brand in seven countries. These include the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, India, Kazakhstan and Denmark. The company also plans to enter at least three more markets within the year.
