New Delhi, India-based global technology, IT and digital infrastructure conglomerate iSON Group is set to deepen its Philippine footprint with up to $375 million in investments across telecommunications, agriculture, healthcare and business process outsourcing, as the company plans a major expansion of its digital infrastructure network.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomed the investments during a business meeting with the India-based group, where company officials presented their existing operations and expansion plans.
Telecommunication towers across the country
The company’s digital infrastructure arm, iSON Tower Ltd. Inc., has already invested $65 million to build 450 telecommunications towers across the National Capital Region, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao under the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s Common Tower Policy.
Backed by US private equity firm TPG Peppertree Capital, the Asian Development Bank and Security Bank, iSON Tower plans to invest as much as $300 million over the next decade to increase its network to 3,000 towers.
