On 14 September, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) will hold its first regular Parliamentary elections, marking a historic transition from the interim Bangsamoro government to a fully elected parliamentary system. Voters will elect members of the 80-seat Bangsamoro Parliament: 40 regional party representatives, 32 district representatives, and eight sectoral representatives. The election will shape how the Bangsamoro people are represented and governed under the region’s new parliamentary system.
