    • NLEX Road Warriors vs Blackwater Bossing
    • PBA Governors Cup 2026

NLEX and Blackwater plunge into action as they collide in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) On Tour at the San Jose Del Monte Sports Complex in Bulacan.

The PBA on Tour is an exhibition game series that will be held while the league’s 50th Season Governors’ Cup is on a break to give way to Gilas Pilipinas’ participation in the fourth window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers recently and the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya.

The NLEX-Blackwater clash is the first of five exhibition games which include stops in Ilagan, Isabela on 12 September; Santiago City, Isabela on 13 September; Batangas City on 19 September; and Candon, Ilocos Sur on 26 September.

Coached by Jimmy Alapag, the Road Warriors fire off the “On Tour” series as they prepare for the resumption of the Governors’ Cup where they have been impressive with a 7-1 win-loss record for the top spot in Group A.

NLEX is expected to parade its new import Deonte Burton, who took the position after the season-ending injury to DeQuan Jones.

The 32-year-old Burton is very familiar to Alapag as he played for the Stockton Kings in the G League and the Sacramento Kings in the National Basketball Association.

Blackwater, on the other hand, has an even 3-3 win-loss record as it seeks to build momentum to sustain its drive for a quarterfinal berth once the season-ending conference resumes next month.

Robert Bolick of NLEX and Sedrick Barefield of Blackwater will not play due to their Gilas call-up for the Asian Games.
