DAVAO CITY — A total of 118 cats and dogs received anti-rabies vaccinations during a pet vaccination drive at SM City Davao recently.

The activity at the SM City Davao Annex was organized by the mall in partnership with the City Veterinarian’s Office and Bantay Hayop Davao.

Of the 118 animals vaccinated, 111 were pets while seven were community animals that regularly stay around the mall.

“We are one with the city in keeping [a] rabies-free community,” SM City Davao mall manager Leah P. Delarmente said.

The mall said the initiative also seeks to promote safe spaces for community animals and provide them with anti-rabies protection for the safety of both the animals and the public.
