Globe Telecom Inc. said it has fully restored mobile and broadband services disrupted by the recent southwest monsoon, while continuing to assist customers in areas affected by the weather disturbance.

In a Friday statement, the company said mobile services were disrupted in nine municipalities in Metro Manila and two municipalities in Rizal, while broadband outages were reported in seven municipalities and cities in Metro Manila.

“Mobile services were affected across nine municipalities in NCR and two municipalities in Rizal, while broadband outages were reported across seven municipalities and cities in NCR,” the company said.

“Technical teams remain on the ground to monitor network performance and complete work on the remaining affected lines as quickly and safely as possible.”

Providing assistance to affected customers

As communities recover, Globe said it is also providing assistance to affected customers in Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet and Mountain Province through its Alagang Globe program.

Globe Prepaid and TM subscribers in these areas are receiving free unlimited calls and texts to all networks, 100 megabytes of open-access data and an additional 100 MB for Facebook, Viber and other applications, valid for one day.

In line with its relief efforts, Globe said its Postpaid customers are being given extended payment due dates.

For broadband users, eligible Globe AT HOME Prepaid WiFi customers will receive 5 gigabytes of free open-access data valid for three days, while GFiber Prepaid subscribers will get a three-day extension of their existing promo.
