Alex Eala is on her best run in the US Open after a 6-1, 6-4 victory over world No. 46 Oleksandra Oliynykova of Ukraine at the Louis Armstrong Stadium on Friday.

The 21-year-old Eala surpassed her previous-best campaign of the second-round to make it into the third round.

Eala also earned $290,000 or around P18.1 milllion for making it the Round of 32 in the final Grand Slam of the year.
