BSP briefs stakeholders on foreign exchange regulations

  • The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) conducted a briefing on the country’s foreign exchange (FX) regulations on 6 July 2026 as part of efforts to promote sound market practices and strengthen compliance with FX rules.

    The forum brought together 260 stakeholders from the public and private sectors and covered the BSP’s FX regulatory framework, including recent updates on FX derivatives and interest rate swaps.

    BSP officers also provided updates on recent developments in the foreign exchange market and shared their assessment of the economic outlook.

    The briefing formed part of the BSP’s ongoing nationwide FX information campaign, which seeks to engage stakeholders on the central bank’s regulatory policies and promote a responsive and transparent FX market.
