HYBRID buyers can get up to P80,000 in straight-cash savings on the Toyota ATIV HEV this August.

FAMILIES can save up to P100,000 on the spacious Toyota Zenix Q HEV under the August Drive Deals.

Toyota Motor Philippines is offering straight-cash discounts of up to P100,000 on selected vehicles under its August Drive Deals, which run until 31 August.

The month-long promotion covers hybrids, compact cars, SUVs, pickups and people movers. Toyota has tied the campaign to the rainy season, but the main attraction is the lower cash price on selected variants.

The largest advertised discounts apply to the Zenix Q HEV and the previous-generation Hilux. Each is available with savings of up to P100,000, subject to the variant and unit availability.

The Zenix deal applies to the Q HEV, which pairs a roomy cabin with Toyota’s hybrid system. Toyota lists fuel consumption of 30.2 km/L in urban driving, 17.9 km/L in extra-urban conditions and 21.1 km/L combined.

Buyers who want a smaller hybrid may consider the ATIV HEV, which carries a straight-cash discount of up to P80,000. Its published fuel figures are 43.7 km/L in urban driving, 21.4 km/L in extra-urban use and 26.3 km/L combined.

The ATIV gives buyers a smaller sedan for city trips, while the Zenix has more cabin room for households that carry several passengers. Their discounts also place electrified models near the top of Toyota’s August savings list.

Toyota obtained the fuel results for the featured models in a controlled environment under an internationally accepted test protocol based on United Nations Regulation No. 101. Actual consumption will depend on the way and place each vehicle is driven.

The Wigo G is among the less expensive choices covered by the campaign. Toyota is giving a discount of up to P30,000 on the small hatchback, which is aimed at first-time owners and motorists who mostly travel within the city.

The model returned 18.2 km/L in the urban test, 23.3 km/L in extra-urban driving and 20.8 km/L combined.

A discount of up to P30,000 is also available on the Fortuner Q. The midsize SUV recorded 10.9 km/L in urban conditions, 13.4 km/L in extra-urban use and a combined result of 12.3 km/L under the same controlled procedure.

Toyota has placed the Fortuner and Wigo in the same campaign despite their different roles and price points. Cash buyers can therefore choose between a small city car and a larger diesel SUV.

Other straight-cash discounts include up to P75,000 on the Vios XLE and P50,000 on the Corolla Cross G HEV. The Tamaraw FX Diesel M/T is also available with savings of up to P50,000, while the Veloz V gets a reduction of up to P30,000.

Selected models may come with free periodic maintenance service, service discount vouchers or one year of comprehensive insurance.

Trade-in customers can receive rebates of up to P30,000, which may be used as a cash discount or for Toyota genuine accessories.

Toyota also provides a five-year warranty on all brand-new vehicles. Additional benefits vary by model, and customers will need to confirm the applicable terms with an authorized dealer.
