More than 2,000 tech entrepreneurs, software-as-a-service (SaaS) agency owners, and startup founders gathered at Newport World Resorts’ Marriott Hotel on 8 and 9 August for HighLevel LIVE Manila, the first Philippine tech conference hosted by customer sales management platform GoHighLevel.
The two-day event featured panel discussions, technical support, networking opportunities, and presentations focused on how artificial intelligence-backed systems can empower small businesses.
GoHighLevel Chief Operating Officer Robin Alex said the company's primary innovation lies in establishing clear communication systems with users rather than focusing solely on tool development.
Chief Executive Officer Shaun Clark noted that the executive team's job is to aggregate problems customers encounter in the field and build direct solutions. Chief Technology Officer Varun Vairavan added that the platform's software products develop organically from customer feedback.
Several industry experts and entrepreneurs also shared insights on business systems, marketing, and technology throughout the conference.
Cece Tan, recognized as the first Filipina SaaS founder, detailed her career transition from virtual assistant to business systems developer. Meanwhile, affiliate strategist Declan O'Reilly highlighted instances where self-scaling systems outperformed traditional view-count metrics.
Addressing data interpretation, speaker Joanna Sherrow explained how resolving misalignments between structural and marketing issues can elevate administrative staff into tech consultants. Additionally, marketing speaker Billy Gene demonstrated applications of AI tools designed to drive continuous business growth.
The conference concluded with case studies illustrating how tailored, AI-backed software solutions offer small business owners greater operational adaptability than one-size-fits-all tools.
