The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and P&A Grant Thornton have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen knowledge-sharing and capability-building programs for PEZA employees, registered business enterprises (RBEs) and ecozone industry stakeholders.
The agreement was signed on 30 July 2026 at the PEZA Head Office in Pasay City, with P&A Grant Thornton chairman and managing partner Romualdo V. Murcia III and PEZA director general Tereso O. Panga signing the MoU.
Under the partnership, P&A Grant Thornton will serve as a knowledge partner of PEZA through the PEZA Academy, providing learning initiatives covering accounting, audit, taxation, compliance, advisory and other business-related topics.
The collaboration is intended to help registered enterprises address regulatory and operational challenges while strengthening standards compliance, business resilience and sustainable growth.
“By sharing our experience and expertise, we hope to contribute to PEZA’s continuous efforts to empower its registered enterprises, enhance their competitiveness, and create lasting value for the broader business community,” Murcia said.
Panga said the partnership would help strengthen the capabilities of PEZA employees and RBEs through the PEZA Academy.
“Beyond enhancing individual capabilities, this partnership contributes to PEZA’s broader mission of fostering a competitive and investment-friendly business environment,” Panga said. He added that a well-equipped workforce and well-informed enterprises could contribute to better services, stronger governance and greater investor confidence.
P&A Grant Thornton will deliver learning programs designed to translate technical knowledge into practical guidance for PEZA employees and RBEs, supporting the goal of developing more informed, prepared and resilient enterprises.
