Jaime VandenBerg makes historic farewell walk with her baby
Miss Universe Canada
Jaime VandenBerg turned the traditional farewell walk into a deeply personal celebration of motherhood as she ended her reign as Miss Universe Canada 2025 with her newborn baby in her arms.
Instead of taking her final moments on the national stage alone, the Canadian beauty queen shared the spotlight with the little one who had quietly been part of her Miss Universe journey from the very beginning.
VandenBerg later disclosed that she was already four months pregnant when she represented Canada at the Miss Universe 2025 competition in Thailand in November. At the time, she chose not to publicly announce her pregnancy, wanting audiences to see her first as a competitor rather than define her participation by her condition.
That decision made her farewell appearance even more meaningful. Months after walking on the international stage while privately carrying her child, VandenBerg returned to the spotlight—this time proudly introducing her baby to the pageant community.
The touching scene offered a fitting full-circle ending to her reign, transforming what is usually a queen’s final solo walk into a memorable portrait of two chapters meeting at once: the conclusion of her journey with the crown and the beginning of her life as a mother.
For VandenBerg, the crown may have been ready to pass to its next wearer, but her final walk ensured that her Miss Universe Canada story ended with perhaps its most unforgettable moment.
