Salmon Finance Inc. has secured a Silver-level Client Protection Certification under the global Cerise+SPTF Client Protection Standards following an independent assessment by MicroFinanza Rating, an international rating agency.
The certification recognizes Salmon’s practices in customer protection, including fair and transparent pricing, clear product information, secure transactions and respectful treatment of customers throughout the lending process.
Based on publicly disclosed Cerise+SPTF data cited by the company, fewer than 100 financial institutions worldwide hold a Client Protection Certification. Salmon said it is one of six active financial institutions in the Philippines with the recognition.
“As we continue expanding access to credit in the Philippines, we believe financial inclusion is more than simply providing loans. It also entails providing financial services that are fair, transparent, secure, and designed to help people move forward with confidence,” said Eunice Monsod, chief compliance officer of Salmon Group.
Salmon Finance is an SEC-licensed financing company and the lending arm of Salmon Group, offering consumer credit products in the Philippines.
