Filipino artists and entrepreneurs obtained the unqualified support of First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Wednesday, as she indicated that the government continues to create opportunities for local talent through the Likhang Filipino initiative.

In a social media post following her visit to Likhang Filipino on Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City on Tuesday, Mrs. Marcos underscored the importance of providing platforms for Filipino creativity to flourish.

“We’re continuing to create spaces for Filipino creativity, as it finds its home in Likhang Filipino,” the First Lady said.

She noted that the Philippines is home to world-class talent that only need support and opportunities to grow.

“We all know that there is so much world-class talent in the Philippines. We need to support them and give them opportunities to hone their talents, showcase their work, and thrive in their enterprise,” she said.

    Showroom makes difference

The First Lady’s post highlighted the administration’s efforts to promote Filipino-made products, craftsmanship, and creative industries by providing a venue where local artisans and entrepreneurs can exhibit their work.

The message drew positive reactions from social media users, with many praising Mrs. Marcos’ continuing support for Filipino talent and livelihood initiatives.

“Our First Lady is truly remarkable,” one user commented.

Another wrote, “Thank you for continuing to be there and for providing meaningful programs that help our fellow Filipinos.”

A third commenter said, “Long live our First Lady, Liza Marcos. Long live our talented Filipinos. Keep showcasing your talents.”

Likhang Filipino serves as a showcase for locally made products and creative works, promoting Philippine craftsmanship while providing market opportunities for Filipino artists, designers and small businesses.

The First Lady has consistently advocated initiatives that highlight Filipino culture, creativity and entrepreneurship as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s creatives economy.
