One of the President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. announced during his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, July 27, that 12 of the 14 planned stations of the Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7) are targeted to begin operations in 2027, a development expected to expand rail access for commuters traveling between Quezon City and the northern parts of Metro Manila, with the railway eventually extending to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
